Job Summary

The Office Assistant is responsible to support and carry out all office and clerical functions.

Credentials, and Experience, and Abilities

  • Prefer High School or GED.

  • Possess very good writing, communication and organizational skills.

  • Possess ability to follow direction, complete projects with minimal direction.

  • Administrative self-sufficiency including basic computer and bookkeeping skills.

  • Possess a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Must meet insurability standards in order to drive.

Essential Functions

  • Answer all incoming calls in an efficient and courteous manner and route calls

as appropriate.

  • Make and distribute approved copies.

  • Operate equipment which requires the skilled use of standard alpha-numeric

keyboard, to produce forms, correspondence, reports and other agency


  • Complete all approved data entry/typing/word processing requested by program staff.

  • Distribute mail including facsimiles.

  • Maintain office supplies.

  • File documents, as directed.

  • Maintain participant and office confidentiality at all times.

Normal Working Hours and Conditions

  • 20 hours per week.

  • Occasional weekend or evening as required.

  • Some travel may be required.

The pay rate for this position is 9.00 per hour.
