SUMMARY

Under direct supervision, will provide high quality preparation and painting services covering a wide variety of surfaces and applications.

  • All forms of surface preparation for paint (fill, sand, prime, and fiberglass, etc.) on metal, wood, plastic, plexi, pvc, and foam.

  • All types of paint applications - brush, roller, airless, hvlp, electrostatic, two-part polyurea and conventional spray painting

  • Repair and maintenance of props, faux finish of new props as well as custom color matching and painting of exhibits and displays

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Previous trade-show experience or extensive automotive paint background preferred

  • Must know application of solvent-based and water-borne paints

  • Must have the ability to learn screen inks application

  • Must be able to use fillers such as Evercoat 400, Bondo and Wood fillers

  • Experience with fiberglass lay-up preferred

  • Knowledge of scenic applications preferred

  • Must be able to pass a respiratory capacity physical

  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift or move up to 75 pounds

  • Ideal candidate should be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Teamwork and good communication skills are required

  • Must maintain a safe, clean and neat work environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Excellent customer service skills
