Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Eight or more years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

The Oracle Cloud Security & Identity team is looking for a highly passionate and strong program director to join our organization. /Candidates must have a background in Identity and Access Management and/or Cloud Security, and experience managing highly complex software development and integration projects./

The Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) is the identity infrastructure underlying all Oracle Public Cloud (OPC) services, and is also a leading Cloud Identity solution for customer Identity and Access Management. As the identity infrastructure for all of OPC, IDCS is extremely critical to the success of the Oracle Cloud strategy and hence is one of the most important and visible cloud services at Oracle.

We are looking for an experienced Program Director to organize and coordinate software and systems projects. You will provide strategic guidance to Oracle Cloud teams with the purpose of delivering on cross-Oracle Cloud projects involving the Cloud Security & Identity organization. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the participation of the Oracle Identity Cloud Service in projects involving multiple Oracle organizations across the Oracle Cloud. Ensure end-to-end technical, functional, and schedule alignment across organizations.

  • Manage and drive to completion the cross-Oracle Cloud projects led by the Oracle Cloud Security and Identity organization.

  • Coordinate the adoption of Oracle Identity Cloud Service as infrastructure by Oracle SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS teams.

  • Coordinate, track, and unblock dependencies on other Oracle organizations.

  • Work with the product management and software development teams to ensure alignment within the Oracle Cloud Security & Identity organization as it relates to cross-functional projects.

  • Work with diverse Oracle organization across multiple geographical regions globally.

  • Ensure cross-functional projects are tracked, managed, and communicated effectively with executive management and other stakeholders.

  • Report regularly to senior Oracle development executive management with well-organized presentation skills.

  • Serve as the key management interface point for cross-functional teams.

  • Lead and drive cross-functional teams to meet program deliverables and quality criteria according to program milestones.

  • Develop and maintain software product development schedules with well-defined milestones.

  • Apply change, risk, and resource management in coordination with product management and development leadership.

  • Determine risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate impacts.

  • Support and drive continuous improvement to an established product development process.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Track record of excellence in Identity and Access Management and/or Cloud Security background.

  • Significant experience in managing highly complex software development and integration projects interfacing with product management and software development teams.

  • Experience with cloud scale architecture.

  • Experience working in large and complex organizations.

  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.

  • Proficient with project/program management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, agile methodologies and bug tracking applications.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, people, and communication skills including the ability to facilitate global coordination and negotiate across functional groups as required.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically but plan and execute with agility and detail.

  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
