Lockheed Martin Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer / Entry-level / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Quality Engineer for a position based in Orlando, FL. The position requires engineering experience / knowledge developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. Responsibilities include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Supports Supplier IPT’s and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution and insures responsible parties meet commitments.

Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.

Interfaces with customers, suppliers and program personnel on quality related issues.

Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement.

Makes the final decision on acceptability of product.

Basic Qualifications Technical degree in an Engineering discipline

Knowledge of electrical wafer, chip and assembly production processes.

Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.

Ability to travel

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Desired skills Ability to organize and track multiple activities and prioritize task based on importance

Ability to review, interpret and apply specifications to determine compliance with requirements

Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

Demonstrated presentation skills

Demonstrated problem solving skills

Effective communication skills: written, oral, listening, presentation and technical writing

Experience with root cause analysis tools

Understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools and processes
