Drury Hotels Valet in Orlando, Florida
STARTING RATE: $11.50
Under general supervision, provides valet services to safely and efficiently relocate guest automobiles to a designated parking location while following Company policies and procedures. Valet Attendants welcome and create the first/last impression upon guest arrival/departure. This function may include assisting with loading and unloading of luggage, providing information in regard to the hotel’s facilities and events, and directions to local attractions.
General Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
Requires ability to communicate in a friendly manner with guests in order to create a warm, relaxing, efficient environment.
Requires the ability to operate vehicles with automatic and standard transmissions.
Must maintain a good driving record and notify management immediately of any changes in your record.
Mental and Physical Requirements
AGE: Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental ability equivalent to completion of 2 years of high school.
EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in working with the public preferred, but not required. Must be proficient in operating vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid driver’s license and good driver’s record required. Proof of insurability required. Requires a passing score on both a written and driving exam.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to operate a motor vehicle, walk and stand during entire working period of up to 8 hours; requires ability to lift, carry and/or transport luggage weighing up to 75 pounds intermittently during the work shift. Requires the ability to perform tasks that include bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and walking long distances continuously during a shift.
Reports to the Assistant General Manager or General Manager
Cooperates with all other team members
