HII-Camber is currently seeking a qualified person to fill the role of Engineering Tech Support at Shaw, AFB, SC . This position is contingent upon contract award.
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the management of current, and the planning of new, communications networks in the USAFCENT AOR as they relate to Ultra High Frequency (UHF) and Very High Frequency (VHF) command and control (C2) radio systems, C2 RADAR systems, commercial and tactical satellite terminals, Air Traffic Control RADAR systems supporting Battlespace Command and Control Center-Theater (BC3-T), and any telecommunications systems and facilities supporting USAFCENT’s C2 users.
Provide guidance to USAFCENT A3AY for integrating legacy C2 radio and RADAR systems into internet protocol (IP) and colorless routed communications networks, which are currently mandated by USCENTCOM and/or Department of Defense policies. Provide expertise to identify and assist with selecting solutions that meet USAFCENT and USCENTCOM objectives while attempting to comply with Air Force Program Office and HQ Air Combat Command requirements.
Assist with preparing and presenting briefings using, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Project, and Corel Draw.
Assist with preparing and coordinating documents and requirements and working the associated staff coordination.
Provide expertise in the planning and execution of re-alignment efforts in the USCENTCOM AOR. Support planning efforts to ensure theater requirements are met/updated.
Assist in the analysis and management of USAFCENT programs supporting tactical, fixed and commercial communications systems.
Provide expertise on the Air Force’s acquisitions and procurement process.
Provide guidance on the USAF’s funding process to include the base planning and implementation process and the use of Base Blueprints.
Provide advice and assistance for briefing key deploying communications staff.
Perform daily program management and analyses for life-cycle management.
Provide guidance for system modernization project management for telecommunications systems being deployed to the USCENTCOM AOR.
Develop plans to integrate tactical, fixed and commercial communications solutions during critical realignment in the AOR. Provide expertise to identify and assist with developing new requirements at new locations
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Information Systems and five years’ work experience, or ten years of experience with communication systems and an Associate in Applied Science area. (Following KSA experience time requirements can be concurrent with this KSA time requirement).
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with the theories, dynamics, and factors underlying the design of digital and analog, RADAR, satellite, data, and voice communication systems.
Minimum of one year experience with the logistical process regarding the deployment and installation of various communication systems.
Minimum of two years’ experience with program management at the numbered AF/Component Command Equivalent Staff level or higher.
Minimum of one year experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Candidate must possess TS/SCI Clearance
